In the capital, veterinarians rescued a cat who swallowed 16 hair gums

Metropolitan veterinarians provided successful medical care to a one-year-old cat of the Oriental breed. As informed in the press service of the GBU “Mosvetunie” through the messenger “Max”, the animal swallowed sixteen rubber bands for fixing hairstyles.

The department said that the owners brought a pet named Rumpel to the reception due to incessant vomiting. A comprehensive examination showed the presence of many foreign objects in the stomach and intestines of the beast, which turned out to be these household trifles.

The extraction procedure was carried out by a team of surgeons, which was headed by a leading specialist of the clinic. As a result, all sixteen ill-fated gums were successfully removed from the patient's digestive tract.

The surgical intervention itself was highly complex. After a severe procedure, the cat needed medical stabilization in the hospital Mosvetstation, and only after a certain time Rumpel with normal health was discharged home.

On the eve there was also information about the rescue of a red cat who escaped from the apartment and was wanted by the owner for four days. The animal was found stuck in the elevator shaft of a residential building on Nikitinskaya Street. Characteristically, the elevator itself worked properly and carried tenants daily, but the pet trapped for all this time did not make a single sound.
