In Sverdlovsk, the renovation of Chernobyl Square is completed

In Sverdlovsk, the transformation of Chernobyl Square is in full swing. The large-scale renovation initiated under the United Russia People’s Program and the municipal infrastructure development strategy is nearing completion.

According to the regional branch of the party, the final work is already underway at the facility: specialists lay asphalt concrete coating, mount smart poles and decorative lighting in the form of semi-arches. The space will be complemented by new paths, parking, video surveillance, as well as a monument to the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident.

It is also noted that the improvement will turn the former park area into a full-fledged memorial and recreational center.

The completion of the project, designed to perpetuate the memory of Chernobyl heroes and create a comfortable place for citizens to relax, is scheduled for December 25.
