In Tambov arrived myrrhaging icon “Joy of All Who Sorrow”

On October 25, Metropolitan Feodosius of Tambov and Rasskazov headed a solemn meeting of the myrrhaging image of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in the Ascension Women’s Monastery of Tambov. The icon came from the Ioanno-Predechensky temple of the village of Ivanovka, Sampur district.

Before worship, the Lord bowed down to the relics of St. Martha Tambovskaya. He was served by Archpriests Mikhail Ilyinsky, Andrei Makhorenko, Igor Grudanov and John Kashirsky, priests Mikhail Zamkivsky and Alexander Mityanin, hieromonk Zosima (Klinkov), deacons Konstantin Polozov, Antony Dick and Pavel Zhidkov. At a pure litany, petitions were heard about the Fatherland and its defenders, then a prayer was raised for Holy Russia.

After the Liturgy and the prayer service, the metropolitan addressed the faithful with an archpastoral word and examined the Sunday school fair with monastic pastries, spiritual literature and children's crafts.
