In Tambov convicted 18-year-old Vologda who cheated 86-year-old pensioner for a million

In the October district court of Tambov completed the consideration of the criminal case against an 18-year-old resident of Vologda. The young man was found guilty of fraud committed on a large scale. The state prosecution in this case was supported by the prosecutor's office of the October district.

As it was established during the judicial investigation, the crime was committed in July this year. Acting as part of an organized group, the defendant acted as a courier. His accomplice, whose case is set aside in a separate proceeding, called the 86-year-old woman and, posing as a federal employee, persuaded her to withdraw all savings from the bank account.

Believing the fraudster, the elderly woman collected 990 thousand rubles and gave them to the defendant, who came for the money.

During the proceedings, it became clear that the damage caused to the victim was compensated in full. The court, taking into account the circumstances of the case, imposed a punishment of 3 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 3 years. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
