In the Tambov region celebrated the Day of road workers

October 18 is the Day of Road Workers in Russia. In the Tambov region in the season of 2026 will put in order 144 objects with a total length of 200 kilometers, and future road workers began to prepare from school.

“Behind each kilometer there are people who come out to replace in the dark and work in the heat and in the snowstorm,” said the head of the region Yevgeny Pervyshov.

Work is carried out under several programs. According to the national project “Infrastructure for Life” in 2026, 8 objects with a length of 66.7 km will be put in order, the most important of them is the overpass through the railway tracks in Michurinsk (passage in 2027). According to the federal project for the development of rural territories, 10 facilities for 32.4 km will be equipped - entrances to villages, schools and industries.

Special attention is paid to traffic safety: arrangement of lighting, sidewalks, barrier fences, photo-video cameras, updating of markings and signs. Tambov region was among the pilot regions, where the Road Class was opened at school No. 3, and the next stage is the Multidisciplinary College of TSTU.

“For us, not only kilometers are important, but also quality: each object remains under warranty,” said Albert Churilov, acting Minister of Roads and Transport of the region.
