Digital rubles will be taken for travel from tram passengers in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, a pilot project for paying for travel in digital rubles began. The innovation appeared on the tram route No. 24, the press service of Smolny reported.

To pay, passengers need to scan the QR code on the validator or screen in the cabin through a mobile bank, choose a payment method in digital rubles and confirm it. After that, an electronic check will arrive on the phone.

The procedure was made safe and protected. Such an experiment will help specialists check the work of the new technology and understand how convenient and in demand it is among citizens.
