In Tula, cyclists are dissatisfied with the fence of the track on Krasnoarmeysky Prospekt
Safety of fences on the new bike path on Krasnoarmeysky Prospekt in Tula has caused questions from cyclists

The safety of fences on the new bike path on Krasnoarmeysky Prospekt in Tula has raised questions from cyclists. According to them, the extreme sections of the structure have sharp angles that can pose a danger to those traveling along the route.
The fences themselves are necessary to separate the bike path from the carriageway and reduce the risk of getting under the wheels of cars. However, in the current performance, they can become an additional source of injuries. Cyclists have repeatedly drawn attention to this problem and discussed it in the profile group.
The situation was complained to Alexander Rem, head of the group for the development of cycling infrastructure of the Tula region and deputy chairman of the Tula Regional Duma. He intends to send a request to the city administration to consider and take control of the issue.
As a possible solution, the discussion participants cite an example of a fence installed in the area of Ivanovo dachas on the Leo Tolstoy bicycle route. A similar design there has no dangerous protruding angles.
This option could become an alternative to the fences on Krasnoarmeysky Prospekt: it allows you to separate the cycle path from the car flow and at the same time reduce the risk of injuries for cyclists.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” wrote that the Tula region is in the leaders of the national project “Infrastructure for life”. The project managed to complete repairs at all 34 planned facilities.
