In Tuva for the day stopped more than 200 traffic violations, one driver can become a defendant in a criminal case

According to the Department of State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Tyva, for October 16, 2026, 207 traffic violations were suppressed on the roads of the region. Among the detainees were 8 drivers who were driving in a state of intoxication. In relation to one of them, there are signs of a crime under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: we are talking about re-driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The inspectors also detained 31 people driving without a driver’s license or deprived of the right to drive.

During the day, 9 accidents were registered in the republic, in one of them a person was injured. State traffic inspection reminds of the importance of timely replacement of tires: at low temperatures and wet snow summer tires significantly increase the braking distance and increase the risk of skidding.
