In Uglovka recorded another landfill after repeated complaints of residents

In the village of Uglovka (Okulov district, Novgorod region) an unauthorized landfill was found. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the region, we are talking about the territory near the house No. 17 on Central Street. At the container site accumulated old sofas, other furniture and construction debris.

The fact of violation was confirmed during the inspection of Rospotrebnadzor – it was initiated by a local resident. During the control measures, an important nuance was revealed: at the specified address, a site for the accumulation of large-sized waste (CWS) is not officially equipped.

As a result of the inspection, the Uglovsk functional department of the administration of the Okulovsky district was warned about the inadmissibility of violating sanitary legislation.

The problem of unauthorized landfills in Uglovka has been raised many times by residents and activists. Earlier, appeals were received at a number of problematic points - including from Victory Street, from the area of the village of Zaruchevie and from the territory near the Far Lake. In some cases, after inspections by the supervisory authorities, the administration included these hot spots in the elimination plan.
