The volume of precipitation can reach 3 mm - this creates a risk of ice formation on the roads.
Drivers are encouraged to change their summer tires to winter tires. On the day of snowfall, if possible, you should abandon travel by personal transport and use public, primarily trams.
City officials are ready to respond quickly. In places of probable formation of naledi, first of all on protracted ascents, 112 boxes of sand were installed. A park of 21 sand spreaders has been prepared for the treatment of roads. A reserve of 37 units of equipment has been formed, including dump trucks, snow loaders, graders and tractors-brushes.
In case of deterioration of the situation, contracts were concluded with third-party organizations and drivers of sand-spreading cars - this will allow, if necessary, to switch to round-the-clock operation and attract additional forces. A scheme for the use of tractors of urban services in particularly difficult areas was also approved. The equipment will take to the streets immediately after the snowfall.
