Work began on the demolition of the emergency house on Nekhinskaya Street, 6A, built in 1959, the press service of the city and road management committee of the Veliky Novgorod administration reported.
The house was small: two floors, one entrance, eight apartments. It was recognized as an emergency in 2019, but was able to resettle recently. The owner of one of the apartments lives outside Russia, this has seriously hampered the processing of documents.
According to the head of the housing department of the Committee on management of urban and road economy Yevgeny Repin, only nine families lived in the house. They all moved into apartments from the vacated municipal housing stock. The settlement was carried out under the municipal program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment and modernization of the public utilities system of Veliky Novgorod”.
The representative of the contractor Alexander Arsenyev said that over the weekend the house will be dismantled and “sorted”: separately wood, separately metal parts, separately brick and garbage. From Monday, what is left of the house will be taken out. By the end of next week, only memories will remain from the house on Nekhinskaya Street.
