In Volgograd signed an agreement on cooperation in space education
Of particular value will be the direct participation of existing industry specialists and astronauts

A ceremony was held in Volgograd that will set the vector for the development of scientific and educational areas in the region: a trilateral cooperation agreement was signed. Its participants were the Gagarin Center for Cosmonaut Training, the Committee of Education and Science of the Volgograd Region and the Heritage Foundation for Social Projects.
The essence of the agreement is to create a rich educational ecosystem with a space component for young people. The plans include launching educational initiatives, developing training courses and organizing cognitive routes.
The key figures of the partnership put their signatures under the document: the head of the Gagarin Center for Cosmonaut Training, the Hero of the Russian Federation and the world record holder for the duration of work in orbit (1111 days) Oleg Kononenko, the head of the regional committee of education and science Alexander Kalinin and the head of the Heritage Foundation Anna Vasilevskaya.
The agreement will give schoolchildren and students access to the programs of the Cosmonaut Training Center, strengthen career guidance work and provide a platform for implementing their own ideas in project activities.
The format of interaction will be flexible: both face-to-face and field events and remote solutions are provided. Special attention will be paid to scientific and educational tourism – young people will be able to acquaint themselves with key objects of the domestic space infrastructure.
According to Alexander Kalinin, interest in space topics in the educational environment is consistently high. This is confirmed by the network of specialized classes already operating in the region: today 418 schoolchildren from grades 5 to 11 are studying in 17 space classes. Students represent Volgograd, Volga, Mikhailovka, as well as Gorodischensky, Kotovsky, Kumylzhensky and Svetloyarsk districts.
The development of profile classes and early career guidance in the Volgograd region is in line with the tasks outlined by Governor Andrei Bocharov.
In the region, various areas of pre-professional training are successfully functioning - from psychological, pedagogical and medical to engineering, aviation, cadet and Cossack classes. Practice shows that the majority of graduates remain faithful to the chosen path and continue their studies on the profile.
