In Volgograd in the village of animals “Alpakovo” are preparing for the winter season

The diet of animals is gradually increased: increase the volume of feed, taking into account individual needs. This is important because in the cold, the body spends more energy maintaining body temperature. Herbivores receive hay and salt-liquid freely available, and twice a day - specialized granular feed; drinking water in animals is constantly.

Now the alpacas, llamas and sheep are seasonal molting – employees regularly comb out pets: remove old wool, dirt and plant residues, disassemble confusion. Such care helps to form a dense undercoat - it will become an additional protection from the cold.

In the near future, the insulation of animal houses will begin - this will provide them with comfortable conditions in winter.

Alpakovo opened at the end of autumn last year, and the first cold season of the villagers passed safely. The accumulated experience helps specialists in advance to create the necessary conditions for keeping animals during the cold snap.
