In Volgograd, doctors told about the 5th anniversary of a child born weighing 1120 grams
The boy was born on October 23, 2021 with an extremely low body weight - 1120 grams - and a height of 37 centimeters
Five years old was Nikolai Chuprin, a former patient of the Volgograd Regional Clinical Perinatal Center No. 2.
The story of Kohli in the center is called an illustrative example of the successful care of deeply premature babies. After birth, the child needed long-term observation in the intensive care unit of newborns. The comprehensive work of a multidisciplinary team – doctors, nurses and neonatologists – allowed to stabilize the boy’s condition and achieve positive dynamics in weight gain and development.
The family does not lose contact with the center all these years: the mother of the boy Alexander sends photos to the attending doctors and tells about the success of his son.
On her birthday, she addressed the experts with words of gratitude: “Well, it’s been 5 years!” Today is the first anniversary of your graduate student! I just want to say a human thank you and express gratitude to all who participated in our journey
The administration of the perinatal center emphasizes that tracking the fate of former patients is an important part of the team’s work.
The staff of the center sent official congratulations to the child and his family with wishes of good health and well-being.
