In the Volgograd region on October 26 it will be possible to see the Moon of the Hunter
Residents of the region will be able to watch the bright disk for several nights in a row.

On Monday, October 26, 2026, there will be a full moon, which in the Northern Hemisphere is traditionally called the Hunter's Moon. Residents of the Volgograd region will be able to see a bright and round disk from October 25 to 27.
The exact moment of the full moon will be on 7.12 Moscow time. During this period, the moon will be in the constellation Aries, next to the stars Sheratan and Hamal. At the horizon, the lunar disk often takes on a golden, orange or reddish hue due to the dense layers of the atmosphere. In addition, next to the silhouettes of trees or buildings, the moon can appear unusually huge – this is a well-known optical illusion that makes images especially spectacular.
The historical name “Hunter” is associated with the autumn traditions of the Northern Hemisphere. By the end of October, the harvest was over, and the fields remained open, making it easier for hunters to find game. The bright light of the full moon extended the hunting time in the evening hours.
