In the Volgograd region 38 colleges opened doors for students

The career guidance event, which combined excursions, master classes and meetings with employers, was held on the basis of 38 colleges and technical schools in the region. The main goal of the event is to acquaint future applicants with the updated infrastructure of secondary vocational education, show work on modern equipment and help outline career paths at leading enterprises.

One of the central sites was the Volgograd Construction College, where about 150 people visited the construction industry cluster. High school students took part in professional tests in 10 workshops – from “BIM-design” and “Estimate business” to “Smart home” and “Armoconcrete”. The teenagers worked with defectoscopes, thermal imaging and laser rangefinders, studying the principles of automation of engineering systems.

The class hour “Professionality: You are in good company” was held for the students themselves, and for their parents – a separate meeting about targeted education and job security. Individual consultations on the formation of a personal educational route were conducted by specialists with the support of students - project ambassadors.

At the initiative of Governor Andrei Bocharov, the Volgograd region became one of the first regions to introduce the Professionality. Today, there are 11 educational and production clusters, the work of which was built within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children” to create a continuous link “school – college – university – enterprise”.
