In the Volgograd region will create a system of training for tourism

Today in Volgograd held a round table "Development of the system of training of professional personnel for tourism of the Volgograd region". According to the regional committee of economic policy and development, representatives of educational institutions, tourism and specialized committees of the regional administration participated in the discussion.

At the meeting, common approaches to the development of human resources were developed: they agreed to more actively involve employers in the creation of educational programs and expand opportunities for internships for students. Separately, we have compiled a list of professions that are especially in demand in the tourism industry now and will be needed in the future.

Special attention was paid to the connection of training with the real tasks of the industry. Mechanisms have been identified that allow students to carry out coursework and diploma works on current projects – for example, to develop new tourist routes, think through the concepts of event events, analyze customer experience or offer solutions to optimize the work of hotels and excursion bureaus. We also discussed the industry order for research projects.

As a result of the round table, recommendations were prepared to strengthen partnership between educational institutions (universities and colleges) and tourism organizations.

The development of the personnel training system is one of the key tasks identified by the Governor of the Volgograd region Andrei Bocharov. The head of the region discussed the issues of vocational education today during a working trip to the Volgograd Medical College. Earlier, the governor also announced plans to open a modern campus on the basis of the Volgograd Technical College.
