In the Volgograd region revealed 1.5 thousand environmental violations

Since the beginning of the year, inspectors have identified about 1,500 cases of non-compliance with environmental legislation. As part of the response, environmentalists issued 1,370 warnings and imposed fines totaling 1.2 million rubles.

Residents of the region themselves play a significant role in detecting violations: citizens’ appeals often become a reason for on-site inspections. Thanks to signals from Volgograd residents, inspectors made 650 trips – most often people reported facts of illegal waste dumping. According to the results of such inspections, experts issued warnings, issued 10 resolutions on the imposition of fines, sent 4 instructions on the elimination of violations, and calculated compensation for environmental damage - a total of 8 calculations in the amount of 560 thousand rubles.

To work with legal entities, the region actively uses the format of preventive visits: it helps companies bring environmental activities in line with the requirements before imposing sanctions. Since the beginning of the year, 26 such visits have been carried out – some of them took place in person, some in a remote format using the Mobile Inspector app. During the meetings, specialists explain the norms of environmental legislation, help to issue permits and adjust plans for environmental measures. In 6 cases, following the results of visits, inspectors issued orders to eliminate the violations found.
