In the Volgograd region ended the competition of Cossack youth
240 participants from 20 teams performed in the Avangard camp

For five days, 240 participants from 20 strongest teams proved that they are worthy of the title of future defenders of the Motherland. These were not just sports starts: the guys showed skills that will be useful in this service, from shooting and working with UAVs to traditional Cossack skills such as cutting with a checker.
The closing ceremony was decorated with the appeal of Alexei Kirichenko, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs. He conveyed greetings to the participants from the presidential aide Dmitry Mironov and noted how seriously and responsibly the guys approached the competitions.
The awards found their heroes in a variety of disciplines, from weightlifting and chess to bullet shooting and drone control. Special recognition was achieved by the captain of the team from Shakhtinsk Yaroslav Krotenko for leadership qualities and the ability to lead the team forward, as well as Georgy Grudin from the Terek army, who impressed everyone with his skill in cutting the vine.
The team of the Novorossiysk Cossack Cadet Corps was the strongest in the Spartakiad team competition, and in the Cossack Spolokh there were no equal cadets from Nefteyugansk, cadet school No. 4.
For the fourth year in a row, the Volgograd region hosts the finals of these competitions, and this is not accidental: the region systematically develops patriotic education of young people. Within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”, the “Young Hawk” center and the “Avangard” camp work here, platforms where children not only train, but also learn to appreciate the historical and cultural heritage of the country. Avangard has long been a place of attraction for large-scale events: for example, the final of Zarnitsa 2.0 was recently held here, which was visited by Sergey Kiriyenko and Governor Andrei Bocharov.
