In Voronezh, a student was a serial thief of electric bicycles

Voronezh criminal investigation operatives of the police department No. 5 of the city Ministry of Internal Affairs established the involvement of a 19-year-old student in another episode of theft of an electric bicycle. This was reported in the GU MIA of Russia in the Voronezh region.

In late October, a 40-year-old resident of Voronezh posted an announcement about the sale of an electric bike for 140 thousand rubles. At a meeting on Patriots Avenue, the “buyer” convinced the owner to issue a lease with a subsequent ransom, took the transport and fled.

The victim recognized the attacker in the publication of the regional chapter about a previously detained 19-year-old guy who stole similar bicycles, and went to the police. The defendant confessed, explaining his actions by the pressure of financial difficulties.

A criminal case has been opened for theft. The attacker faces up to five years in prison.
