There are 151 classes of agro-technological orientation in 59 educational institutions of the Voronezh region, in which students are oriented to potential professional activities in the field of agro-industrial complex

In 2026, five educational facilities were further modernized in the region, the necessary equipment was purchased and the support of teachers involved in specialized training continued. This issue was considered during the weekly operational meeting in the government of the Voronezh region.
Valery Meleschenko, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Voronezh region, stressed that the system of agricultural education covered educational institutions in 25 municipalities of the region. Its purpose is to acquaint schoolchildren with the professions of the industry and provide them with in-depth knowledge in specialized subjects even before entering a technical school or university. The educational process involves agricultural enterprises, organizations for processing products, as well as institutions of secondary professional and senior management.
Among the partners of the schools are Voronezh State Agrarian University (VSUA), University of Engineering Technologies (VSUIT), Forestry University (VGLU), Novokhoper Agrarian-Economic and Liskin Agrarian-Technological College.
The development of the school profile is part of the federal project “Personnel in the agro-industrial complex”, launched in 2025. Its goal is to solve one of the most important tasks of the industry: to provide agricultural enterprises with the necessary number of qualified workers. In accordance with the established targets, in 2026 the level of staffing should reach at least 92%, and by 2030 - increase to 95%. Over 800 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of the project in the region in 2026.
Training of future specialists does not stop after graduation. This year, 21 enterprises of the agro-industrial complex organized targeted training and practical training for 722 students of specialized specialties.
Additional perspectives for professional education are provided by the program “Agroprofessionality”. In the period 2026-2028, the regions will have the opportunity to use grant support to update the material and technical base of agricultural colleges. In the Voronezh region, technical schools in Novokhopersk and Lisky became participants of the program. In addition, for the veterinary faculty of VSUA equipment for the educational building "Zootomykum" is purchased.
