In the Voronezh region, the car loan market has significantly decreased

Over the year in the Voronezh region, the number of issued car loans decreased by 13.2%. If in September 2025, banks issued 2,200 such loans, then in September 2026 - only 1,910. This information is provided by the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI).

All-Russian dynamics was almost identical: the number of car loans in the country fell by 13.3%, to 102.4 thousand in September 2026.

Most loans for the purchase of cars were traditionally issued in Moscow (7,050), Moscow region (6,260) and Tatarstan (5,630). Among the 30 leading regions, the sharpest drop was recorded in the Krasnodar Territory (-25.2%), Chuvashia (-24.8%) and the Perm Territory (-24.2%).

As explained by the marketing Director of the NBKI Alexei Volkov, the cooling of demand is explained by expensive loans and expensive cars. In addition, banks have become more rigorous in assessing borrowers’ credit histories to reduce the risk of delays. In such a situation, experts advise potential borrowers to take care of their credit reputation and prevent its deterioration.
