In the Yaroslavl region revealed violations in the treatment of fields with pesticides
Rosselkhoznadzor summed up the results of inspections of agricultural enterprises of the Yaroslavl region after the end of seasonal field work

The Rosselkhoznadzor summed up the results of inspections of agricultural enterprises of the Yaroslavl region after the end of seasonal field work. Among the main problems are unreliable information about the use of chemicals, excess of permissible dosages and untimely informing beekeepers about the upcoming treatment of lands.
Autumn inspections showed that some farms use plant protection products with violations: use them in quantities exceeding the established norms, or treat crops with drugs that are not intended for them. In addition, enterprises do not always enter the necessary information and processing schedules into the federal information system Saturn, which makes complete information unavailable to supervisory authorities.
A particular concern is the risk to beekeeping. According to the law, owners of apiaries located within a radius of seven kilometers from processing sites must be warned about the use of pesticides for 5-10 days. For this purpose, the media and special warning systems should be used. However, as noted in the message, some farmers carry out work without timely notification of neighboring apiaries, creating a threat of mass death of bees.
According to the agency, the increase in the number of such incidents has not yet been recorded, but the situation cannot be considered safe. At this stage, violators are issued warnings and required to eliminate the identified shortcomings before applying more serious sanctions.
