In Ugra tighten control over the removal of garbage
After a wave of complaints, the regoperator in Ugra is threatened with fines and new purchases of equipment.

After a wave of complaints, the regoperator faces fines and new purchases of equipment.
In Khanty-Mansiysk and other municipalities of Ugra, supervision over the work of a regional waste management operator is being strengthened. The reason was appeals from residents: since the end of September, the number of complaints about overcrowded container sites has significantly increased in social networks. In total, 36 applications were received during this period, and the inspection confirmed the validity of the citizens’ claims.
On October 17, employees of the Department of Industry under the leadership of Viktor Gamuzov inspected 70 sites, the condition of which complaints were received. On one of them, the fact of untimely garbage removal was confirmed - the next day the territory was put in order.
Deputy Governor Natalia Ogorodnikova said that the regoperator “Ugra-Ecology” will be fined. The company explained the delays to failures due to the breakdown of five garbage trucks, but the authorities emphasize that technical problems do not remove responsibility for the quality of the service. As a solution, the operator was recommended to purchase additional special equipment for leasing through a structure subordinated to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.
According to the Department of Industry, by the evening of October 18, garbage had been removed from all 718 container sites in the district - 100% of the facilities had been cleared. Daily reporting and monitoring of the sites has been established to prevent new disruptions, and monitoring is maintained on weekends. Similar problems were recorded in other municipalities of the region, where the situation is also taken under special control.
Governor Ruslan Kuharuk instructed not to reduce the pace of inspections, to continue daily monitoring and to study in detail the issue of purchasing new equipment. Thus, a more sustainable waste disposal system is being formed in the district with strict control, operational feedback and long-term measures to strengthen the special equipment fleet.
