In the Zadneprovsky district of Smolensk will be “continuous checks” of the traffic police

On October 18, special “continuous inspections” organized by the State Traffic Inspectorate will be held in the Zadneprovsky district of Smolensk. During this event, it is planned to stop all vehicles on a certain section of the road to identify drivers who are in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication.

Driving a car under the influence is punishable by a fine of up to 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of a driver's license for two years, and in case of repeated violation, a criminal case is initiated. It is also noted that refusal to undergo a medical examination is equivalent to committing an offence.

In addition, it is reported that all patrol cars DPS equipped with video recorders. At the same time, citizens have the right to record audio or video materials in the process of communicating with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate.
