Since the beginning of the new academic year, 16 specialists have joined the teaching staff of the Smolensk Academy of Urban Planning and Architecture. A significant part of the new employees are graduates of the educational institution, who returned to their native walls already in the status of teachers.
Among the new teachers are specialists in the field of digital technologies and geoinformatics. So, Kirill Barykin and Roman Belikov, previously recognized as winners of the regional championships “Professionals” in information modeling technologies, now teach students of construction specialties modern methods of digital design. Anastasia Novikova, who went from student to teacher, introduces young people to current geospatial technologies.
The development of new areas of study is also associated with the return of graduates. Mikhail Starovoitov, a graduate of the specialty “Aerophotogeodesy”, together with Nikita Sinyakov, is engaged in training students under the program “Operation of Unmanned Aviation Systems”. In turn, Elena Kondratova, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, transfers knowledge to future architects, relying on her experience of student leadership.
A significant group consists of specialists in land management and tourism, who came to the Academy in the targeted direction. Valeria Ilyushchenkova, Sophia Eliseeva and Julia Kuchareva help students master cadastral works and territorial planning, sharing their experience of victories in professional competitions. Anastasia Zaitseva and Karina Grishanova, graduates of tourism and hotel business, act as expert mentors for participants in tourism competitions.
The humanitarian and natural-scientific cycles of disciplines also received new employees. Ekaterina Barabanova teaches Russian language and literature, Anastasia Kushakova teaches biology, and Anastasia Panevina is responsible for physical culture. Her unique role in the team is taken by Daria Bublikova – the youngest teacher of the Academy, which combines training at the university with teaching computer science. In addition, Anastasia Sarazhinskaya, who has mastered the working profession of a carpentry and carpentry master, now teaches students engineering graphics.
The school notes the importance of systematic support for young specialists in the region. In the Smolensk region, various assistance measures are provided: supplements to the salary for beginner teachers and compensation for utility costs for workers in rural areas. For students studying in targeted areas, there are support programs with housing, including compensation for hiring and preferential mortgages. This succession of generations allows young people to start a professional path in a small homeland, realizing their potential and developing the region.
