The solemn ceremony of awarding the Order of the Mother was held in Minskconcert on October 14, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

In Belarus for three decades for the birth and worthy upbringing of five or more children, women are awarded the award from the Head of State - the Order of the Mother. This time its owners were another 47 Minsk women. It is noteworthy that 240 children grow up in the families of the awarded mothers: six families bring up six daughters and sons, 41 families - five.

Mother’s Day is a holiday that unites everyone. Everyone remembers their childhood, and it is inextricably linked with their mother. With her love, attention, support, ability to find a kind word at the right time, to instill confidence and a sense of security, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev addressed the mothers of many children. It has become a good tradition to award the Order of the Mother on this holiday. You in this room are an example to many. You raise children with that sincere motherly love that allows you to find a way out of any situation.

He noted that a large family is the foundation of society. In large friendly families there is support, responsibility, mutual assistance, and this help is invaluable for each person.

- Today you have come to support your husbands, children, loved ones. They know that mother is the foundation of the universe. The state supports large families in every possible way, but the most difficult thing – education of children – falls on your shoulders, Kukharev said. Let me thank you: having created a family, you made it a show. Health, success, luck, peace and well-being!

On behalf of the Head of State, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee presented the Order of the Mother. Among the awardees is the mother of six children Elena Chura.

- Together with her husband Denis Golub, and he, by the way, a columnist of the social policy department of the editorial offices of the newspapers “Minsk courier” and “Evening Minsk”, we bring up Kostya, Antonina, Artemia, Tikhon, Juliana and Yana, said E. Chura. The eldest son is 18 years old, and the youngest is only 2 years old.

T. Lafitskaya is the mother of four daughters and a son. The eldest Valeria is 18 years old, twins Renata and Martha - 16, Xenia - 7, and the only guy, Myron, only 2 years.

Motherhood for Tatiana is a conscious choice: she completely devoted herself to education.

Among the awarded mothers are representatives of industrial and agro-industrial enterprises, trade, catering, health care, religious organizations, as well as housewives.

- Of the 47 women awarded, 30 successfully combine work and motherhood, 17 are housewives, said Peter Shutko, Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee. Since 1996, 1,221 Minsk women have been awarded the Order of the Mother, including 73 this year.

He noted that about 16,000 large families live in the capital, in which almost 51,000 minor children are brought up. The majority of large families - 13.4 thousand - mothers and fathers of three children.

- Support for families with children is a national priority of the state social policy. It includes a large-scale set of measures and is carried out through an extensive system of benefits – all of them 11 types, benefits and guarantees in the field of labor, tax, pension, housing legislation, as well as through the family capital program, said P. Shutko. The awarding of the Order of the Mother is one of the measures of state policy aimed at supporting families with children. Together with the state award, mothers with many children received a one-time cash payment.
