Viktor Teplyakov visited the site of the future rink at the “Festival” in Sochi

In the Central district of Sochi are preparing for the opening of the skating rink on the territory of the concert hall "Festival". The launch site is planned on December 19, on the eve of the New Year holidays. The future space was visited by Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory Viktor Teplyakov.

The area of the rink will be about 300 square meters. m, at the same time it will be able to ride about 30 people. For visitors there will be a rental of skates and a storage room.

Instead of natural ice, a synthetic coating is used, designed to operate in subtropical climates. This will allow you to ride regardless of the weather.

According to Viktor Teplyakov, the new site should become an additional attraction for residents and tourists, as well as expand the possibilities of family holidays.

In the future, the rink can be used for figure skating training. As previously reported by the head of Sochi Andrey Prosbynin, this possibility is considered in preparation for the Year of Olympic triumph, announced in the city for 2027.
