Vladimir Regional Emergency Medical Service Station opens doors for participants of the project “Growing Up in Vladimir”

The Vladimir Regional Emergency Medical Service Station opened its doors for participants of the project “Growing Up in Vladimir”. In a business format, teenagers were shown the underside of the paramedic profession - work that requires not only knowledge, but also colossal responsibility to society.
The tour began with the control room, where the young guests traced the algorithm of receiving calls. Particular attention was paid to the configuration of layings and tactical medicine. Under the guidance of specialists, the children mastered the technique of applying various types of harnesses, studied vacuum tires and the principles of monitoring the patient's heartbeat on the way.
The students saw the work of the defibrillator and measured the level of oxygen in the blood. The culmination of the visit was the inspection of the cabin of this car and acquaintance with on-board equipment.
“Behind each trip there is knowledge and well-coordinated work of the team,” the project participants stated. Such career-oriented visits allow to form an objective understanding of the specifics of emergency medicine and deserved respect for the work of doctors. Practical contact with the station equipment turned out to be more effective for Vladimir schoolchildren than any lecture.
