With the arrival of autumn, the summer season ends, and it is time for owners of country houses to prepare housing for a long downtime, so that in the spring they do not face accidents and unnecessary expenses. This was announced by Anton Ivanov, head of the underwriting of property types of insurance company Absolute Insurance.

According to him, it is worth starting with engineering systems: close the valves, drain water from the pipes so that they do not get damaged during freezing, prepare the boiler and pump for cold weather. If the house is empty in winter, it is better to shut off the gas to reduce the risk of leakage. Before leaving, you need to turn off household appliances and vending machines in the shield, but first make sure that heating or alarms do not need constant power. With a complete power outage, the meter readings should be transmitted.

In autumn, suburban real estate lies in wait for other dangers: strong wind and precipitation can damage the roof, windows and drains, faulty wiring or heating equipment can cause a fire, and leaks can lead to the bay. Falling trees and branches, as well as illegal actions of third parties create additional risks. Therefore, before the end of the season, the expert advises to inspect the roof, windows, doors and gutters, remove light objects from the site and, if possible, organize regular monitoring of the house.
