Vladimir Drama Theater received a memorable fragment of the curtain of the Vakhtangov Theater

In Vladimir, after a break from 2018, the All-Russian Forum “Festival of Festivals “At the Golden Gate” is held again. This year, 16 theater groups from Russia and Belarus participate in it.

The festival was opened by the Evgeny Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre. Its director Kirill Kroc did not come to Vladimir empty-handed: he gave the local theater an unusual gift - part of an ancient curtain that served the Moscow stage for about a hundred years.

The curtain was removed in 2021, when the Vakhtangov Theatre celebrated its centenary. The canvas was divided into small fragments, which are now presented to colleagues and partners in memory of the remarkable history of the theater. Director of the Vladimir Drama Theatre Boris Gunin promised to keep the piece in the museum collection of the institution.

In response, the Vladimir side presented the guests with a diploma of the festival.
