In the Vladimir region from alcohol continue to die people

The Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Vladimir region published data on toxicological monitoring for the first nine months of 2026.

During this period, 172 cases of poisoning with alcohol-containing products were registered in the region, which is lower than in the same period last year (203 cases). However, mortality statistics remain critical: 125 poisonings ended in death.

In most cases (118 episodes), the cause of the tragedy was ordinary ethyl alcohol. Poisoning with surrogates (12 cases), methanol (10 cases) and liquids with an unspecified composition (32 cases) were also recorded. Men suffer from alcohol poisoning 3.8 times more often than women.

Five territories — Vladimir, Kovrov, Gus-Khrustalny, Kolchuginsky and Alexandrovsky districts — account for more than 75% of all cases in the region.
