In the Vladimir region decreased the number of alcohol poisoning

Rospotrebnadzor in the Vladimir region summed up the results of toxicological monitoring for nine months of 2026. During this period, 172 cases of acute poisoning with alcohol-containing products were registered, while a year earlier there were 203. Deaths also decreased: 125 against 152, a decrease of 17.8%.

Men suffer from such poisoning 3.8 times more often than women. The most common cause was ethyl alcohol - 118 cases. Another 12 poisonings are associated with alcohol surrogates, 10 with methanol, 32 with other unspecified alcohols.

Alcohol and its substitutes remain the main cause of fatal poisoning of chemical etiology - 75.3% of all deaths. Most cases were recorded in Vladimir, Kovrov and Kovrov district, Gus-Khrustalny and the district, as well as in Kolchugin and Alexandrovsky districts.

Experts remind: the main cause of such poisoning is the use of alcohol, not intended for food, surrogates, homemade alcohol and products purchased outside official stores.
