Drivers of the Rostov region face fines for downed animals

In the Rostov region, a driver who hit a wild animal can not only fix the car, but also pay compensation to the state. Donday reports. It is impossible to leave the scene of the accident - it threatens with deprivation of rights for 1-1.5 years or arrest up to 15 days.

Wild animals are state property. The amount of damage depends on the type:

boar - 30,000

otter - 15,000

badger — ₽12,000

beaver — ₽6,000

fox, wolf, raccoon dog, jackal — ₽200 each

hamsters, ground squirrels, moles — ₽100 each

pigeon, baldhead — ₽600

goose/goose — ₽1,000, duck — ₽600, black grouse/pheasant/partridge — ₽600-2,000

After the collision, you need to stop, ensure safety and call the police. If the animal does not belong to hunting resources (for example, an owl) or is listed in the Red Book, the amount is considered according to other rules. The court may find no fault if the collision could not have been avoided.
