Volga overtook Moskvich in sales in five months

For the period from 5 to 25 October 2026, 694 Moskvich cars and 793 Volga cars were sold in Russia. This was reported by the head of the analytical agency “AUTOSTAT” Sergey Tselikov, reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

Until September, sales of Moskvich remained stable and exceeded Volga, but after the temporary suspension of the state support program, they decreased slightly. Volga, by contrast, showed strong growth.

The most popular model of “Moskvich” – crossover “Moskvich 3”, which accounts for about 80% of sales. Volga is the leader of the flagship K50, popularly nicknamed "Volzhara", - more than 50% of total demand.
