In the City Clinical Hospital No. 11 in Ryazan, the modern endoscopic technique eTEP-TAR was first used in the treatment of a large ventral hernia. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of health.
The hospital was treated 55-year-old patient with an umbilical hernia of 25×15 cm. After the examination, the woman was hospitalized for surgical treatment.
The operation was performed endoscopicly using minimally invasive access.
The postoperative period passed for the patient without complications. On the eighth day she was discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition.
