Water and sanitation

Close the entrance faucets and drain water from the boiler, washing and dishwasher. At the site, blow the pipes with a compressor, empty the barrels and hoses. In the siphons, pour non-toxic antifreeze for plumbing, and pump out the septic tank by a third and insulate the lid. Clean the drains and drainage so that melt water does not flood the foundation.

Heating

The contour is better to dry completely: after draining the water from the boiler and radiators, blow the equipment with a compressor. Clean the solid fuel boiler from ash and soot. If you have gas equipment, call the specialists of the service organization.

Protection from moisture and pests

Take the products or pour them into sealed containers. Rub the cabinets with a solution of vinegar - a sharp smell scares away mice and cockroaches. Unfreeze the refrigerator and leave the doors ajar. Move the furniture away from the walls, open the cabinet doors too. The house should not be sealed - be sure to leave open the vents in the foundation and supply valves in the window frames, otherwise dampness and mold will appear.

Electricity and gas

Turn off the sockets and the automatics in the shield. Take the gas cylinder out of the house and close the valve.

Plot

Cut the lawn - it is better if the height of the grass is not more than 5-6 cm. In trees and shrubs, cut off all dry and damaged branches. Cover heat-loving crops with breathable materials. Take out the fallen foliage of fruit trees from the plot: pests can winter in it. Get the fuel out of the garden appliances. Clean the tools and lubricate them with machine oil.

Security

Valuable things must be taken away from the dacha. Ask your neighbours who stay for the winter to look at your site at times, so it’s calmer.
