Some citizens receive them for free or at a discount, and the portal “Explain.rf” informs who exactly can count on it. If you are sick, it is worth checking whether you are among the beneficiaries.

The full list is established by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No 890.
Certain categories of drugs are sold by prescription with a 50% discount. For example, those who receive a minimum pension for old age, disability or the loss of a breadwinner.
But preferential status is not the only way to free drugs. In a number of diseases, drugs are given to all patients, regardless of the category. The list of such diagnoses is given in the same resolution - among them diabetes, HIV, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer.
To get the drug, contact the clinic at the place of attachment: the doctor will write a prescription and tell you in which pharmacy it will be issued.
