Volgograd residents in late October threatened by a magnetic storm level G1
In the coming days, the geomagnetic situation on Earth may slightly deteriorate

According to the forecasts of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI and ISZF RAS, on Wednesday, October 28, the Earth will fall into the zone of influence of the coronal hole, as a result of which the planet will be hit by a stream of fast solar wind.
The peak of these disturbances is expected at the end of the week, on October 29 and 30. However, astrophysicists are quick to reassure: the event is classified as a weak magnetic storm at the level of G1. No global disruption is foreseen, although sensitive spacecraft equipment can experience minimal interference, and residents of northern latitudes will get a rare chance to see the aurora.
Scientists emphasize that in general, the activity of our star is now in decline. This phenomenon is likely to remain the only noticeable space event for the next week and a half.
By comparison, the current figures remain calm. The probability of a storm today is estimated at only 3%, and disturbances at 10%. The solar wind speed is kept at around 365 km / s, with the geomagnetic activity index Ap equal to 5, and the solar activity index F10.7 at 85.
