Volgograd citizens learned the timing of the passport through “State Services”
Residents of the Volgograd region explained the procedure for replacing passports by age and the risks associated with non-compliance with deadlines. Reference information was published by the portal “State Services” – it is designed to help citizens avoid penalties and household difficulties.
Passport is first issued at the age of 14. Subsequent mandatory age replacements are provided for at the age of 20 and 45 years. In these cases, documents must be submitted within 90 calendar days from the date of the relevant age. For citizens who were outside Russia, a different procedure applies: after returning to the country, an application must be submitted within 30 calendar days. The timing of the production of the document depends on the application channel. When registration through the "State Services" with subsequent transfer to the unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the passport will be produced in 5 working days. When submitting through the MFC, the period may increase due to logistics – documents must be transferred between departments.
Getting your passport ready is important on time. If the application was submitted on "State Services", the citizen will be invited to the unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - the document should be received within 3 calendar days. If this period is missed, consideration of the application is suspended. To continue the procedure, you will need to personally contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs within 30 days.
When submitting documents through the MFC, a passport is issued in the same center - it is stored there for up to 3 months from the date of notification of readiness. If you do not take the document during the specified period, it will be transferred back to the unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
For violation of the terms of replacement of the passport, administrative liability is provided. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the fine ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, in other regions, including the Volgograd region, from 2,000 to 3,000 rubles. Experts advise to carefully monitor the age that requires replacing the document, and submit an application in advance.
