Volgograd tenth-graders are training in “Avangard”
In the Volgograd region began the next season of training camps for students of the 10th grade. Five-day shifts are held on the basis of the Avangard military sports camp. According to the regional administration, by the end of the year five streams will be organized here, the participants of which will be about two thousand schoolchildren of the region.
The students from the base schools of the camp - No. 54 and No. 121 - began the first classes. A 35-hour practical program was prepared for them. It includes the study of the basics of national security and patriotic education, fire, tactical and engineering training, communication, tactical medicine and drone control.
Training is carried out using special simulators and modern models of weapons. This season, the program was expanded: schoolchildren will be able to visit the buried command post of the regiment and take part in the training field exit. After completing the course, each participant will be awarded a certificate.
In addition to the main activities, sports and educational activities are provided for boys. As part of the first shift, master classes are planned with the participation of famous athletes: the instructor of the Avangard camp Kevin Johnson, the master of sports of Russia in Greco-Roman wrestling Evgeny Vlasov and the finalist of the Russian kickboxing championship Sher Ali Khalimov. Students will also attend lectures by scientists and representatives of the Knowledge Society.
The program also includes career guidance meetings. The camp has already been visited by Heroes of Russia, test cosmonauts of the Roscosmos detachment Sergey Prokopyev and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, test engineer RSC Energia Evgeny Prokopyev and test cosmonaut Mark Serov.
The organization of fees is carried out by the regional committee of education and science and VRMDOO “Participation”. For conducting classes and practical training, instructors of the Volgograd branch of the VOIN center are responsible.
In the Volgograd region, the patriotic education of the younger generation is given special attention. Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the initiative to hold the finals of the All-Russian military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0” in the region. Governor Andrei Bocharov told about this during a meeting with the pupils of Post No. 1.
One of the main sites of patriotic training was the Avangard camp. Since 2024, more than 5.5 thousand boys from the 8th and 10th grades have been trained here.
