Vologda enterprises exported more than 700 tons of dairy products
The main share of products accounts for 17 large enterprises. The goods are dispersed by region, country and sent abroad. Vologda milk is known, loved and appreciated.
The region is steadily increasing exports of dairy products - only for nine months of this year, more than 700 tons of products were shipped, an increase compared to the same period last year, amounted to 12%. Exports of cheese, milk and cream are growing, supplies to Kazakhstan and Armenia have increased, and new areas of cooperation are being established.
Among the enterprises that are engaged in sending their products abroad is the N.V. Vereshchagin Training and Experimental Dairy Plant. The company has a lot of experience in this regard. The most popular product for supply, expected, is milk powder.
UOMZ has all opportunities for export and is open to dialogue. Several years ago, the plant was included in the register of exporting enterprises of the Customs Union and now has the full right to supply products to the EAEU countries.
Of course, not all dairy products are suitable for export, because “milk” is a perishable commodity. The main consumers are the local market. However, large enterprises are flexible in this regard: in their range there are always “long-term” positions.
First of all, it is powdered milk. In UOMZ, for example, the product retains its suitability for two years, which allows you to send it over long distances. It is important to observe the storage conditions. Such terms are the result of the painstaking work of the employees of the enterprise, who developed the production technology and achieved impressive results in this.
Ultra-pasteurized products are also great for transportation. UOMZ produces drinking milk, milkshakes, milk for baby food. With ultrapasteurization, closed-packed beverages retain their suitability for up to six months at room temperature.
Another candidate for export is butter. At low plus temperatures, it is stored on average for about a month, but transportation is also possible with deep freezing, which opens up more opportunities.
