"The issue needs to be addressed drastically!" Kubrakov - about the drug threat in the Vitebsk region

The meeting of the board of the regional Internal Affairs Department was held in Vitebsk with the participation of Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, writes sb.by.

The focus was on countering cybercrime and identifying the perpetrators. The effectiveness of the fight against illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues, prevention of consumption was also considered. In addition, the attendees discussed the organization of the work of operational-duty services of the ATS region, measures taken to protect buildings and structures of the internal affairs bodies, their engineering and technical strengthening.

At the meeting of the board, the Minister of Internal Affairs pointed to insufficient work to counter the drug threat. In the region in almost all directions on this line were the worst indicators.

Ivan Kubrakov outlined to the head of the Internal Affairs Department Alexander Kupchena the need to rebuild the management of territorial units and instructed to form a working team:

- Get into people's problems! Remember: there will be no team, there will be nothing! Everything should have a sense of elbow and corporateness - a single team, mutual assistance and shared responsibility for the result! The drug threat is the main problem, and young people are involved. You can't let that happen! The question needs to be solved dramatically!

Based on the results of the evaluation of performance, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to reduce the head of UNIPTL in his post.

Having listened to reports on the second issue, Ivan Kubrakov drew attention to the repeated reports of citizens and the organization of work with them. The minister also inquired about the number of rapid reaction groups and instructed to review the staff of the SLM in large district departments. He made a special emphasis on the control of personnel, including through video surveillance systems, noting the need to improve the skills of employees, conduct training on actions in special conditions, use in full the available technical means of protection of ATS buildings. For example, learning from colleagues in the Department of Security.

On the third issue of the Board, it was emphasized that the fight against cyber threats gives tangible results, especially in terms of prevented crimes. The region is not yet in the lead, but the gap with others is minimal. Alexander Kupchenya assured the Minister that the movement forward in this direction will continue. Interaction with the banking sector and preventive measures with the population will strengthen.

At the end of the collegium, Ivan Kubrakov thanked the personnel for their service, presented awards and epaulettes of the next special ranks to distinguished employees.
