Voronezh residents told about new rules of indexation of unpaid pensions

The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that establishes the procedure for indexing insurance pensions not paid in a timely manner by a court decision. The new rules will affect residents of the Voronezh region, if the amendments come into force.

The document provides for specific dates for recalculation. According to the draft, indexation will be carried out from the first day after the end of the month following the month of entry into force of the court decision on pension payments.

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin during the discussion drew attention to the situation when the court decision has already been made, but the amount of pension is not indexed. According to him, due to delay, payments are depreciated.

The bill was prepared for the execution of the decision of the Constitutional Court of Russia of March 31, 2026 No. 19-P. It concerns the obligation of the pension authority to recalculate and accrue the insurance pension or its part, which the person did not receive for the previous period.

So far, the document has only passed the first reading. For the new rules to come into force, the bill must pass further stages of consideration.
