Voronezh Prosecutor’s office told about confiscation of means of committing crimes in 300 cases

In the Voronezh region in 2026, the courts applied confiscation in almost 300 criminal cases. Cars of 143 convicts were transferred to the state revenue, which were used while driving a vehicle while intoxicated (Articles 264.1–264.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Three times, the judicial authorities decided to seize money equal to the price of cars sold.

Cell phones of 92 defendants were seized in drug-related cases. In addition, confiscated technical means used to deceive citizens, publish prohibited content and communicate with representatives of foreign structures. Such property belonged to 24 defendants in cases of embezzlement and 8 persons accused of crimes against state security.

Thus, thanks to the position of the prosecutor's office, the verdict of the Rossoshansky District Court in the case of a person convicted of attempting to sell illegal drugs was revised. The phone involved in the crime is turned into state revenue. On similar grounds, more than 15 appeals by public prosecutors were granted.
