As reported by avia.pro, weather balloons and special balls delivered impact UAVs at high altitude, using air currents and saving charge and fuel. In the target areas, the vehicles separated, turned on the engines and headed to the objects.
Such platforms were noticed over Serpukhov, Chekhov, Ramenskoye, Electrostal and Noginsk. The main targets of the combined attack, the publication called Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo. After the discovery of balloons with suspended objects and conventional drones in Sheremetyevo in the afternoon announced an air alert and temporarily stopped the reception and dispatch of aircraft.
According to military experts, the use of balloons complicates the work of air defense: low speed, low radio visibility and lack of thermal radiation make them difficult to detect radar systems. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the destruction of 26 drones flying to the capital on October 23.
