- Now all the colleges of the capital are staffed. More than 6.4 thousand applicants were enrolled for secondary special education, almost 5.7 thousand for vocational and technical education. This year, the competition is serious for all specialties. The tallest — nine people per place — for architectural design. 3.6 people per place — for “graphic design”, — said in the Committee on education of the Minsk city Executive Committee.

Even though the number of college admissions increased, the number of people willing to enroll in them, in particular, after the 9th grade, was much higher. Unfortunately, not everyone had enough seats.

According to the legislation, the admission campaign in vocational education institutions can be extended until September 15 - until all free slots are closed. According to the latest data, there were 45 such vacancies in the country. For example, two colleges in the Brest region are still waiting for future seamstresses and cooks to study.

There is a backup option: return to the 10th grade of the school at the place of residence.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Education, many factors are taken into account in the formation of admission control figures: not only the needs of the labor market, but also the demographic situation, in particular, the number of graduates and their request for working professions is predicted. However, the opening campaign is also a competition. Who has a higher average score of a document on education, he occupies the most popular specialties. Therefore, the advice to children planning to go to college: increase your academic rating.

- Children from the regions also go to the capital for working specialties. They are a serious competitor to the Minskers. Graduates of schools of the city come to apply - and they suffer the first disappointment: the scores are not so high, sometimes losing to the rating of children from other areas.
