On the eve of the City Day in the walls of the concert hall "Minskconcert" honored the winners of the competition of professional skills "Minsk Master - 2026", the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti".

The winners of the competition this year were 48 citizens. They have different professions. Among the winners are builders, green construction workers, teachers, sellers, doctors, drivers, land cleaners, hairdressers, locksmiths, tailors, millers ... But they all have one thing in common – they make a significant contribution to the life of our city.

Congratulating the winners, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalia Kochanova noted that the city is a living organism, and its soul is people. By their work they create beauty, comfort, strengthen the economy of the country. N. Kochanova stressed that among the winners a large number of women.

- You are doing everything today to ensure that our country is strong, prosperous, and our beloved Minsk is comfortable and comfortable, she said. Over the past five years, Minsk has been annually listed on the Republican Board of Honor, which indicates that real professionals, craftsmen, devoted to their city and their country work here. You are not only the best in your profession, but above all those who set an example for young people.

The title of “Minsk master” is not easy to earn. This was emphasized by the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev.

- It seems that recently we celebrated the winners of the Minsk Master competition last year. Twelve months flew quickly, but during this time a lot was done, said V. Kukharev. The city is fulfilling its tasks, and you are doing everything to make Minsk the way we see it now. And all areas of life of the capital are in safe hands, because every day you responsibly, qualitatively and professionally perform your duties.

Several interesting facts about the competition were reported by the Chairman of the Minsk City Association of Trade Unions Sergey Shkrudnev.

- Seven winners of the Minsk Master have already become the best in previous years. This shows their high professionalism. Among the current winners are 15 young professionals. The youngest of them is only 19 years old! He works as a salesman in one of the capital's department stores. On the other hand, the oldest Minsk Master 2026 celebrated its 62nd birthday. He works at one of the city's utilities, he said.

Among the winners of the competition is a miller of one of the capital enterprises Roman Lukashevich.

- If you take any object around us - TV, phone, keys, key fob - they are all made with the obligatory participation of a miller, the source said. I have been working in this profession for five years. There are different issues to deal with. The most important is the complexity of manufacturing the required design, the accuracy of the parts

The Minsk Master competition has been held since 2004. Its organizers are the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Minsk City Association of Trade Unions. Over the entire history of the capital competitions of professional skills, about 281 thousand people took part in them. The title of “Minsk master” received 786 of them. This year, representatives of 48 professions competed for the victory. The largest number of competitive directions is traditionally associated with housing and communal services and the service sector.
