Young residents of Kalmykia will be able to congratulate Santa Claus on his birthday

From October 15 to November 5, 2026, schoolchildren of Kalmykia can take part in the All-Russian action “Congratulations to Santa Claus”. The event is held under the project “Culture for schoolchildren” and is designed to unite families, introduce children to Russian fairy tales and support domestic tourism.

Participants are invited to express themselves in one of four directions. You can write a poem, come up with a fairy tale, write a song or make a gift with your own hands. Applications are accepted through a personal account on the portal "Culture for school children.RF".

Experts will select about a hundred of the best works. The results will be summed up on November 18, the birthday of Velikoustyugsky Santa Claus, and will be published on the project website. The winners are waiting for souvenirs. The main prize will be a certificate to visit the famous patrimony in Veliky Ustyug, where schoolchildren will be able to personally meet the wizard in his chamber.
