The interior Ministry blocked payments for 338 details of fraudsters

During the day, the police received more than 300 reports of phone calls scammers. Law enforcers blocked the possibility of payments to 338 foreign details used by the attackers, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

In total, 30 crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered.

The department of the organization of processing fraudulent operations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated the blocking of two phishing Internet resources, and expenditure operations on 158 accounts were also suspended.

In addition, operatives detained two couriers working for scammers. They seized more than 60,000 BYN.

According to the method of committing illegal acts, vishing on behalf of officials leads, then deception occurs when buying goods on the Internet and theft using social networks.
